I have always been overweight. I mean always, even as a little kid. Here I am near my high weight (I stopped weighing myself the day the scale said 220):

I spent six months in New Zealand, had a blast, hiked a ton, lost a bunch of weight, and by the end of college I looked like this during my trip to Costa Rica:

Last May I was here, eating as usual and very unhappy to have my picture taken:

Last summer, I fell from a horse and broke my ankle. I was in bed for two weeks, mostly immobile for several more weeks, and completely non-weight-bearing for a total of four months before I started learning to walk again. I couldn't drive or go anywhere, I could do much of anything, but I had a wheelchair and I could stand up and balance on the counter long enough to cook and bake, which I did, along with eating, incessantly. I could no long button any of my pants. I had just quit my job and I wasn't about to buy new pants, so I thought I'd give this MFP thing another try. This time, I added some friends and the rest is history. Now I have logged in (but not logged food, full transparency here!) 365 days in a row.
Last September (about 195 - didn't have a working scale)

this February (175)

and today (150).

Realizing I should probably never wear those white boyshorts again. But you get the idea.
Thank you to my wonderful MFPeeps and to everyone who has posted a SUCCESS STORY for the tough moments. I am still struggling with my eating habits. I don't have a healthy relationship with food. But it is slowly changing, with the tools and the support I need to get it under control.

I was there for a few years, and I never thought I'd be here, trying on size 10 pants that are too big for me (at one point I was busting out of an 18)! But it was so easy to take control, and move beyond binges and mistakes with MFP, that I just kept going. When you hit my SW you will wonder how you did it - and you'll keep going too!0 -
Wow what a difference! Great job0
