avocados and feeling sick

I know avocados are good for you so i've been trying to add it into my diet more often. After eating it in a salad or on a sandwich my stomach gets a little queazy. I've read online that it could be your stomach not handling the fat well but I can eat other fatty things and feel fine. Any ideas of whats going on?

You could be allergic to them, or not, but there is no need to eat them if you don't feel well. You can get those particular vitamins, minerals and fats from many other foods.

Possible allergy or intolerance. Or coincidence.

Avos are one of the fruits/vegetables associated with latex-fruit allergies.

thats really interesting about the latex allergy. I work in a doctors office and have recently noticed slight skin irritation when wearing latex gloves.

Time to switch to nitrile, and be cautious about any reactions to fruit. Cross sensitivity is pretty common according to this article.

You could see an allergist. Working in a doctor's office and possibly being allergic to latex is a good reason to find out one way or the other.
