Renew Your Vows

It's the beginning of the week for most of us and a great time to renew, or at least restate your fitness vow, or pledge. So, what is it that you pledge to do, or accomplish with regard to your fitness and health goals?

I pledge to clean up my diet and be more consistent with my exercise routines.... and I renew my commitment to hit my target weight of 180lbs.

    I'm facing a challenging week - my gym is closed for remodeling, we're under a heat advisory (and I don't do well with heat) which make outdoor workouts more difficult, and the two days I'm scheduled to work out with my trainer outside this week it's supposed to rain (in which case the workouts are off). With my gym being closed my trainer won't be weighing me in for at least a couple of weeks which is making me feel lazy about my food choices. In other words it's a perfect time to renew my vows.

    I pledge to make good food choices for the next two weeks so I actually lose weight in the next two weeks - 3 pounds would drop me into the next "decade" (lower middle number) so I'd be super happy with that. I pledge to go the branch location of my gym 20 miles away if it's too hot to run outside or if my trainer workouts get cancelled due to rain.
  • Over the weekend I have totally stepped back and looked at where I am going with this whole eating properly and exercising, and now came to the conclusion that I need to stop smoking too, a couple of my friends completed a tough mudder yesterday and they loved it, so I have vowed that by next year I too am going to do that tough mudder with them, so more nice clean eating, no smoking and training like a boss is the new me :)
