I have viewed some success stories and I am inspired. Good luck to all on here for the same reasons. Any tips would be greatly apprciated.

welcome,
yes, this is a very helpful place,
I also have about that to lose, so we have that in common,
I am not exercising, although I suppose it is recommended, for now the best I have been able to do is to confront my diet,
I began by making a list of low sodium, low fat, low calorie, high fiber foods, and I made a plan of what I could eat daily, without cooking, because cooking is one of my triggers,
my family agreed to make and clean up their own meals so I could just concentrate on me for a bit,
this seems to be working for me, boring yes, I am eating the exactly same thing each day, but it is lowering my anxiety and stress,
I do need to find another hobby other than food, so the struggle is ongoing,
LOSING FAT IS WAR!!!
my very best wishes for you0 -
this place is absolutely awesome. i have been here since may 1, 2010 and i have lost 67 lbs in that time. i'm down 100 from my highest weight. the first 33lbs i lost took years to accomplish after joining this site, i did 67 in a matter of months.0

Hi, I am pretty to new at controlling my diet, but I have found if I increase my fiber it gets rid of hunger, lower sodium less retaining water, and log everything even if you have a bad bingy kinda day, when you see the numbers it helps to not have as many of those days. (although a high calorie (just not crazy) day once every 5-7 days not bad tricks the body)
My day starts with 2 hard boiled eggs and a deli flat with or without mustard > less than 300 calories but 5g fiber
Lunch is between 300-400 calories at least 5g fiber
Dinner remaining calories) at least 5g fiber
snacks are cucumbers and tomatoes in a light dressing or plain
yogurt, I occasionally have chips at night if I have over 200 calories left over.
Baked potatoes are good, plenty of veggies, and brown rice.
I am also looking for support so feel free to friend me, I open my food diary for my friends. Good luck on your healthy journey!0 -
I just joined a few days ago and I need and am willing to give support. Add me as a friend. I also have over 100+lbs to lose. This will not be easy. But can hurt alittle less with support and friends along the way.0

Hey there!! Welcome to the boards, you're going to love it here! I've been here since Feb. Haven't lost much weight, but I've been maintaining what I have lost.
I've got 12 tips in my blog: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/Steph_135 that I posted a long time ago. They helped me lose 60 lbs in the past, which I have kept off since I lost them. Maybe some of them can help you too. :flowerforyou: Best wishes!0
