NSV boxes of clothes labeled "too small" out of storage

I've been looking for a decent NSV and this weekend was it.
April 15 of this year I was in a size 26 (3X). (Or there about. Women sizes vary so much by brand!)
This past weekend, I pulled out the 4 boxes of clothes in storage labeled "too small" and started trying them on. I fit in about half of them now. Yippee. The smallest size in the box that actually fit me was a loose 18. Some of them were actually too big because I think I skipped a size altogether.
Some are still too small so I packed them back away, but now there is only 1 and half "too small" boxes left. Enough to just store up in my closet.
I still have a long way to go, but it was a nice NSV!

That is so great!:flowerforyou: :drinker: I threw away several 'too small' things and now wish I'd kept them. I never thought I would get back to where I am now. 50 lbs lost! I haven't quite finished yet, but I am very happy. Most of my too smalls are now too bigs, but I have one outfit my DH bought me for a present last time I was slimmer. It fits fine now. I have a nearly bare wardrobe. Autumn looms. Have to get some new clothes! I do worry about maintaining the weight loss as I have put it back again so many times, but this time it doesn't feel so much like a diet, more a seachange. Let's hope so.:happy:0

Well done you! It is such a good feeling getting into those clothes. Worth all the hard work!0

Congrats! It's great being able to get "new" clothes without spending money.
I had a similar NSV today. My unofficial target was to get back into a pair of uk size 12 jeans that I have had stored under the bed for the last few years. Just for a laugh I tried them on today, expecting not to be able to do up the zip. Looking at them before I tried them on I thought no way i would be able to button them up, the waist looked too small. But not only could I do them up but they actually fit! I've still got about 5kg to go to my target weight, so those trophy jeans might even end up being too big. This time last year I bet I would not have even been able to get my legs into the jeans, so weird to think about.0 -
I love this!! What a great NSV! =D Congrats!0

Congratulations! It's SO nice when you can pull out some clothes that you might have, at one time, thought you'd never be small enough to wear again. It helps take away that, "I can't do it", attitude! Success...keep going!0

CONGRATS!!!! I'm in the process of trying to actually locate those boxes for myself... I probably hid them away so I would never find them!!!0

Well done! Try stuff on more often! I keep finding things I thought were still too small, and now they're too big.0

Yay! Great job!
Just rearranged my closet for the third time since the beginning of May...going to the flea market with a huge pile of too big clothes in a few weeks as I am down 2 sizes. So I know how you feel.
Congratulations!! :drinker:0 -
Seeing this made me smile because in July I packed away a ton of 26/28 sweaters in hopes that they won't fit by October, and I think I am well on my way. I am hoping for the same kind of joy you just experienced in two months!0

Congratulations!!! That is wonderful!! I find it so great to be able to pull out the 'other' clothes and have some of the old favorites hang back in my closet. It is a Fantastic NSV!0

Wearing my "too small" capris today on a f:happy: light where I DID NOT need a seat belt extension, double NSV!! I sold most of my "too small" clothes last July (still with tags) and now I wish I had them but oh well, pretty soon I will have all my current clothes to sell and buy new clothes with that money. I am down 2 sizes, almost 3. Congrats to you and all the other NSVs that are posting, we are rockin' it. ..............................0
