Daily calorie help/ advice please

Hi
I am 220lbs (15st 10lb) and MFP had me on 1510 calories a day. I put my activity as sedimentry and to loose 1lb week which I have been loosing. Then last night my calories were put down to 1480 a day. My hubby thnks it might be geting to low for I still want to loose another 42lb (3st). Does anybody else think this is right. I would be grateful for any advice.

Hi, the above link really helped me. I've been losing slowly, but losing. I followed the instructions and manually changed my goal calories. It will work out exactly what you need to be eating.
I don't know if this is any help, I hope it is. I've only been using MFP "properly" for a month so someone else may have better answers.

As your body weighs less, your intake has to get less too! I started off on 2,200 calories, but now on 1,200 calories. I usually knock my calorie intake down when my weight loss stops. But believe me to get down to your target weight you will have to slowly reduce your calorie in take.
I've been pondering over my target weight, if i wanted to get lower than 10 stones, my calories intake to maintain it would have to be around the 1000 calories, or just a bit lower. I don't know if i can live on that so 10 stones is OK with me.
try the reduction see what results you get, its not a very low in take, and you can eat more of veggies and salads to fill up.0
