  • It may not be a matter of how much you eat but what you eat. I just started here this week and was amazed at the amount of calories I was consuming even though I wasn't eating tons. Now that I've started changing what I eat based on the calories I've started losing.

Same! I would eat like ONE breadstick from Pizza Hut as a "snack" and when I came here and started putting things in, I saw that that ONE FREAKING BREADSTICK was 300 calories! I was appalled at many of the caloric counts of the foods I was eating. This place will help you tons!
  • yeah i hope it helps here

i seee that exercise and diet are more of a science
but how do calories equate to weight loss?

how much weight would be lost

Hi ausrod, welcome. I also have found that the calories in some of the things I would eat are extremely high. Since being with MFP, I have changed alot of my habits. I log everthing I eat. The other night I was finishing up my diary and realized I could treat myself with a fat free fudge bar and still be under my calorie allowance.

Good luck on reaching your goals.
  • ty for the words of encouragement

    means alot to me
