I just started watching soccer a couple weekends ago. So far it has been fine but I don't really know which teams/players to pay attention to. Basically I just watch whatever is on the NBC Sports Network (for EPL) and ESPN (for MLS.) Can any soccer experts out there share some insight into who I should pay attention to?

For EPL players to look out for if you havent watched it LIverpool : Steven Gerrard,Luis Suarez, Coutinho Manc Utd: Van Persie, Rooney Chelski: Torres,Mata,Hazard. Man $ity :Silva,Yaya,Dzeko. *kitten*:Cazorla,Wilshire, walcott. Tottenham: Bale(gone), Soldado.

Im sure there is alot more but those are quickly off top of head also Benteke for AstonVilla.

super happy football (soccer) is back on :)

i dont support them but reckon for sheer entertainment if you dont have a team then follow chelsea, will have a good season and their manager is a character

things to look out for in EPL:
jose mourinho (chelsea boss) winding everyone up and being the funniest guy in football
arsene wenger (arsenal boss) making a million excuses why his team are rubbish

tottenham finishing top 4 and winning the fa cup or europa league

    players to look out for:
ross barkley (everton) going to be a great season for the young lad
navas (man city) reckon he will be the best new signing this year for any club
    oscar (chelsea) jose likes him
coutinho (liverpool) will help liverpool have their best season for a while
giggs (manchester utd) probably his last year as a footballer and a living legend

Since no one has answered your MLS question...

In MLS, I'm a New England Revolution fan. We're cool and all, but the team sucks. They're owned by Bobby Kraft, who couldn't give a *kitten* about his soccer team except for the tax write-off and someone to play in Gillette while his beloved Patriots are in their off-season.

    No, not bitter at all...

On a happy note, though, they're at least doing ok this season. The team is young, so inconsistent, but when they're on they do pretty well. And, little Diego Fagundez is amazing to watch (I want him to get his American citizenship sooooo badly so he can play for the US).

They've been to 4 MLS cups, but despite that they are, I believe, the only founding team to have never won an MLS Cup... Taylor Twellman, the ESPN commentator, and one of the greatest strikers ever in MLS, was a Revs player. Also, we're reeling a bit about not getting Dempsey back.

So, I guess if you want a team that you can love because of its roller-coaster properties, feel free to join the ranks of the Revs supporters? Along with Dallas and RSL I think we're some of the most battered fans in MLS' short history.

PS forgive the late reply - had this bookmarked and kept forgetting to respond

Bit of optimism on both parts there...

EPL and MLS are easy for me to watch as they are on NBC Sports Network and ESPN. I am not at the point where I will go towards any real effort to watch anything else. :-)

If you have beIN sports, I believe that's the channel they're on.
