Problem

So I need some help. I am doing a pretty good job with my calories and I do 30 min or more of workout. I am noticing a difference in how my clothes fit and the scale is moving slowly. My problem is getting hungry at night between 8pm and 10pm. We eat dinner at varying times, between 5:30 and 7:00. I've tried brushing my teeth and drinking water but nothing is helping. What do I do?

I had that problem at one time.

Now I try to keep some calories free after I have my dinner to have a snack at night. I eat 3 meals a day and have 2 to 3 small snacks a day. If you eat healthy and light snacks, you will find that you are not as hungry. Extra water helps also. I also include a glass of milk (1% low fat) with my dinner every day, which helps me not eat as much of my meal.

I drink 4oz of milk when that happens. It's about 100 calories and keeps me until breakfast.
  • Eat something proteiny, like almonds or a piece of cheese. I actually eat low-carb as I have blood sugar issues, so this might not work for you, but one of my favourite snacks is a slice of lean ham (I usually get it extremely thin-cut or shaved at the deli), wrapped around a slice of cheese or a tablespoon of shredded cheese. That kills the hungry, and will tide me over until morning :)

I eat a handful of almonds. I never thought that would really work before but it does help now that I have tried it.

I like a yogurt and a few berries a couple hours before bed. Just enough to keep the tummy from rumbling while falling asleep.
  • I eat yogurt or pudding if that happens. I have also had peanut butter crackers. Something with protien is good. I try to stay at 100 calories or the most 140.
  • Thanks everyone! I will try something tonight.
