How do you feel about them.
I was wanting to go to some at my gym but not sure I will be comfortable with it

i can think of exactly one way to find out if you'll be comfortable with them0

I never liked group classes at 24 hour fitness except for spinning. That being said, I just joined Orange Theory which is all group exercise and I love it. Give it a shot, you might like it. Just like Dav said.
Have fun!0 -
Like you I've always never fancied group classes at gyms, but always wanted to go to one, just to see if I enjoy it.... Just have to get around to it one day (been going to gyms, on and off, since I was 15 years old, now 43!)....0

I was a bit apprehensive at first, but I went to my first one 3 weeks ago, hung at the back but I rather enjoyed it, I was stuffed afterwards though!
Just give it a go if feeling uncomfortable is your problem go to the back of the class, or if you are worried your not up to it physically just remember you can't get better at it until you start it!0 -
I do a bootcamp class and I love it! Everybody is really friendly and encouraging. I work so much harder at these than on my own. Try it, they can be good0

When I first joined the gym, I wasn't comfortable doing the classes because I felt like I was too out of shape, so I stuck with working on the machines on my own. After I'd lost 30 pounds or so, I started trying classes, and I now find them a lot of fun. The people are nice and the trainers are helpful. I'd been working with kettlebells on my own at home, and now that I'm taking kettlebell classes, my technique has improved and I've been able to increase the weight I use for some of the moves, which is great.0

Thanks everyone I think I might try one today.0

I love them, but don't go to any now because I don't belong to a gym anymore.
Unless you are in someone's personal space (where they have to worry about running in to you, or you're blocking them from seeing themselves in the mirror if the room isn't so crowded there's no other option), nobody is paying attention or judging you. I find the energy of working out in a group really helps me work harder, too - I want to keep up with (or "beat") the people around me.
If there's a class you think you'd enjoy, have at it!0 -
I would recommend doing a class. I've started doing a boxercise class once a week at my gym and its great fun AND a killer!!! I always worried about being the biggest or the most unfit, but that's not the case - by the end of the class ALL of us are as red, sweaty and breathless as each other
Do it, you won't regret it0
