Not a success story yet, but a work in progress

I'm a little nervous about posting pictures, as I HATE the way I look in them. But I've been working really hard, and even though I have a long way to go, thought I would share a face shot. I'm 41 years old, 5'6, started at 251.8, and am down 28lbs as of yesterday. I have gone from a size 18/20 pants to a 16/18, and from a 2x shirt to a XL/1X.
Its hard when I see myself in the mirror everyday, but the before picture was actually for my passport (don't I look miserable). I tried to get the same angle in the one today - with my hair pulled back in both) but I think I can finally see a difference. I think the double chin is almost gone!
I do have a long way to go still (want to get down to the 150's) but I think I finally found something that works for me. I'm counting calories, and I've taken up Jazzercise and a C25K program. I do eat my exercise calories each day. It's not coming off fast, but I feel like I will get there this time, because I don't feel like I"m dieting for once. It's taken me since the start of the year to lose this, so I lose very slowly, though it seems to be picking up now that I've started running too.
