I'm new to this fitness tracking thing but oh so hopeful! lol My "issue" is a little bit different than most in that I'm trying to actually GAIN weight. Before you hate me.... being too skinny is no fun either. It amazes me how cruel people can be. Like, I'll be walking in a crowd of people and hear someone say "Geesh... why don't you eat a sandwich" or MY personal favorite, "What's WRONG with her???".

Basically, I have a serious illness that has left me without a stomach and no good way of digesting food :sick: . Which is a shame because I truly DO love to eat! lol The solution was going to be a complete digestive system transplant (bet you didn't know they did THOSE? ;-)... however, ends up I'm not a good candidate. Rather than starve to death slowly, I've opted to have home health care administer TPN feedings through a port. That way, anything I eat and am able to keep down will just be a bonus :-)

In the meantime, I'm trying to track every calorie and all the exercise just so I know for myself what needs to be tweaked. This site is a pretty cool little site and the tools are really handy! I'm already having fun! :bigsmile:

    Welcome to MFP. Sounds like you have had a really tough time. You will find this site and it's members very helpful and supportive. I am fairly new as well....my 3rd week. I wish you the best and please feel free to add me as a friend!
