I'm 18 years old and have my year 12 formal which is in november to slim down for! I'm currently about 67-68 kg and 173cm tall, so i'm not overweight or anything but just want to fit into a size 8 (aussie size) dress that i used to be able to wear and would just feel happier slimmer. This would require me to get to around 58-60kg so I was just wondering if it is possible to lose 10-12 kg in around 3 months? Any weight loss stories from anyone? Thanks heaps :)

Highly unlikely unless you are grossly over weight now and you say you aren't overweight. It sounds like losing 20-24 pounds for someone who isn't overweight could mean you are having the beginning of an eating disorder.

Nah, that's too aggressive. If anything, work on fat loss and maintaining muscle. You can probably lose a few inches that way. You are already in a very healthy range based on weight and height. If anything, you should concentrate on lowering body fat. High and fast weight loss will mean a lot of muscle loss which makes it harder to get definition. I suggest a small deficit (1 lb per week) and weight training and some moderate cardio. This will probably put you around a 2000 calorie diet which should be perfect for your age and height.
