Question #1 for Protein Bar Snobs...

So in my semithorough search of protein bars I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality, taste and cost of Walmart's Life Choice Bars. They are a smidge small but for $3.88 for six bars the price can't be beat. Please tell me why I should pay more for Powerbar or Quest or Clif?

After looking at the website I'd say it's because of the fact that they have three times the ingredients of a Quest bar, half of which have names that cannot be pronounced by the average human being.

I think I'll stick to my snobbish, Quest bar consuming ways.

I had to google it to see the ingredients, but meh... it still seems more like a candy bar than others, but there are worse out there I guess.

I get them every week but only the protein ones because the others have tons more sugar. My nutritionist said it was a good choice for a protein bar. It's a good snack to feel full but doesn't have a ridiculous amount of calories.

Hmmm - good idea. I will have to try them. I usually buy Pure Protein- either at Walmart or Amazon. I go for the best protein/calorie ratio at a good price.

Very well, what type of provocation shall I regard this as?

They look fine to me, but I still prefer my 9 ingredients, all of which can be easily pronounced, to your forty+ ingredients. If that makes me a snob, so be it.

I mean you can do what you want. For me though: Less protein, more calories, smaller bar, not carried in Honolulu...pretty much no upside.

I'll stick with Quest. The price doesn't bother me any.

I am not a protien bar snob but I would not eat the walmart brand one if I were to choose.

I can see buying my tank tops at walmart, my cheap shorts to workout in even my socks but I am not eating something that comes from a store the only puts stuff on their shelf only from the "cheapest" supplier.

I will make them myself if I have to.
