Hi all,
I'm quite new to yoga.. and basically I'd just like to know if anyone knows of a decent yoga movement to really stretch out my entire body. I'd be doing this on every off/rest day basically just to stretch out the muscles for ultimately more flexibility..
So if anyone can link me to somewhere that does something I'm looking for, or can suggest something I might need to purchase etc like a dvd..
All suggestions welcome, and thanks in advance!

Down dog is the most efficient for a full body stretch! Take a free trial of Yogadownload.com. Lots of beginner things there.0

I find the sun salutations and triangle poses to be the best for me to really stretch everything out and loosen up the hips/shoulders/etc. I really like the Rodney Yee videos, but some people really hate him and find him annoying, so you might want to see what you can find on YouTube to see what instructors you like or don't like. If you are just starting it's really best to have an in-person instructor if possible because they will be able to see and correct you if you are slightly out of position on the moves and you will get more out of the moves if your position is correct.0

If you have an iPhone/iPod/iPad, you can download Yoga Studio for free. It has a lot of different classes based on focus, difficulty level, and length so you can find one that works for you. The flexibility ones are great for getting a good stretch, and I feel amazingly relaxed afterwards.0

I'd like an instructor too, but unfortunately my gym has quite useless trainers etc and on top of it charge ridiculous amounts! But I'll check out those you've mentioned! thanks0 -

Unfortunately the only apple product I own is a shuffle :c lol but thanks! I get a phone upgrade in a month so I may consider iphone just for this, along with other apps needed..0 -

I agree...Downward Dog is a good stretch, Up Dog or Cobra gives a good counter movement. Pigeon is a good hip opener. Sun Salutations are great, A and B. You can also get your heart rate up if you do them one breath/one movement. Not sure if you have a cable provider but mine offers yoga videos for free 'On Demand'. You can also use videos that you Google. I love yoga and always feel so good after stretching.0
