I have had a pretty low self esteem for as long as I can remember. It has now contributed to me being diagnosed with depression. I am alot better then what I was and have come out of the worst of it but my low self esteem is still holding me back and creating problems in my relationship. I love my partner with everything and I want the confidence. What are some tips for boosting confidence/self esteem??

Confidence and self-esteem come from inside. During your workouts, pushing yourself beyond what you believe you can do will help boost your confidence in yourself. Self-esteem is something that is constantly worked on. Take a look at what you have accomplished in life, through your training, and through your relationship. But, more importantly, in order to find your confidence and your self-esteem, it all starts with how you see yourself and how much you value life, family, and yourself. Look inside yourself and find out who you are inside and let that lead you back up the golden path! You are a great person, it is all about you believing in yourself. I wish you all the best in finding both deep inside ya!0

Make a goal for yourself..sign up for a 5k with friends/partner and do it for fun! you will have a great sense of accomplishment when planning something out and finishing it! join a workout group at a gym, some of the most loving/supporting women I meet are at the gym ready to smile and cheer you on...(town recreation center).
As for the blues, keep your body moving, release those endorphins! It will make you feel better~
We can always do more than we think we can!

Self confidence is one of the most important things in the world. Find something you are interested in learning about or doing that has nothing to do with pleasing your partner or anybody else. Get involved, achieve personal goals, and your self esteem and confidence will definitely grow. It could be anything, from going back to college, starting a small business, achievements with a hobby, or training and running for a marathon.0

A very smart person on my FL posted this on their status yesterday: "before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, simply surrounded by *kitten*!" I am not saying you're self diagnosed or anything like that. I'm just saying that we need to look at whom we surround ourselves with.0

Look in the mirror everyday and tell yourself some nice things, maybe things you'd like to hear from other people or things people tell you that you don't believe like
- I am look amazing today
- I look beautiful in this colour
- I am such a nice person
- It was such a nice thing I did for XXXX today
etc ....
It may sound silly but it worked for me. You get in a routine of putting yourself down and it can be a hard habit to break but by telling yourself.
This website http://www.prolificliving.com/blog/2012/08/27/100-positive-affirmations/ has a nice list of positive affirmations you can say to yourself daily. Even if you don't FEEL it and are just going through the motions you will end up believing it the more you do it.0
