I have been T1 for nearly 30 years & it took me an entire year to drop 20. I do this with 1 hour of cardio (elliptical/treadmill) and do weights for 39 minutes 5 days per week. I would say my daily intake is about 1500 calories-0

I lost about 25 pounds and have now gotten to where I am losing really slowly. My doc said low blood sugars can cause weight gain or trouble losing. I have had lows when I wake up so I am still adjusting my overnight basals. So hard trying to lose weight and even harder being an insulin dependent diabetic, in my opinion. Have to adjust insulin as you lose and that can be tricky. Feel free to friend me, don't seem to be many of us T1s on here. You on a pump?0

Sam, I think that is CRAZY to have to exercise that much to lose weight! WTH! That's almost 10 hours a week! Why not 30 mins 5 days a week? alot of people just do that and it works! Alot of people just walk for 30 min a day and it works..... Guess really though, everyone is different....This is the hardest time ive ever had in my life tryin to lose weight. Came off good right after the pregnancy, but the last 10-15lbs are the worst. It's hard to even stick to any program for a long period of time do to absolutely no results at all. I've been given numerous advice on what to do to lose the weight but I just can't seem to do it. I see my family doc next week and i will be asking him what he thinks. Pretty sure he will just say you are at a healthy weight. Don't sweat it. Plus u just starting having to run around after a toddler...be patient and keep eating healthy and getting some excerise. The weight will come off. And I will be screaming out inside my head WHEN WHEN WHEN???? I wish i could just be happy how i am and just live. Just live by continuing to eat healthy and exercising and not giving a hoot what weight/size i am. Before pregnancy losing weight was easy for me (I had to do it twice Age 23 and age 28) I gained in between because I went back to old eating habits plus put weight on after being in a halo brace for 3 months laying in bed most of the time) But both of those time it was just healthy eating without logging, walking, treadmill, badminton a fews time a week for 30-45min, and light weights like 20min 3 times a week. I wish it was that easy this time........................0
