I'm new here, but I should have been here years ago. Basically, I've been overweight for the last 16 years. I've just never been able to commit to eating less. I just hope I can finally do it now. I am trying, but it is such a big change for me, since I have been a "grazer" forever. Especially when I am at work. I hve a boring desk job, and for many years I have "nibbled" all day long, mostly on chocolate, to help me get through the day. Hard to stop doing that! Here is a little more about me:
I did go to Curves faithfully for 8 1/2 years before they closed up in my area. It was the first exercise I had ever stuck to like that. I think it was the atmosphere of the place that kept me coming back. That and the fact that I didn't have to really plan a routine there. Everyone did the same thing. And it was both Cardo and weights at once. It didn't take a lot of time. I tried to go three times a week. Since Curves closed, I did go to Zumba for a while. Not sure if I want to keep on with that, or not. It is hard because I have to go home first, and then go back out. Also, it is a bit more of a workout than I am ready for! I have recently joined Snap Fitness, and have been trying to get there twice a week at this point. Switching to three times, at least. Trying to exercise all body parts, and also do the bike or the treadmill each time. I actually enjoy doing the weights, in a way. Can't say I enjoy the Cardio. I have also been doing stomach work for about a year now. All of this is taking a lot of time, and I should be doing so much more!
During the 10+ years that I did exercise, nobody could ever tell, since I didn't change my diet. I don't want that to happen this time. Thanks for reading. Sorry to long.
