So I on day 4 and was under the impression that I do 2 weeks of each part. I just logged on the the beachbody site to track my progress and when I added day 4 it said I should be doing ramp it up...huh!?

On there is says Start it up is Day 1
Ramp it up is Day 2-13
and Burn it Up is 15-41

So do I just start all over now or what? I started last Thursday and took Saturday off as my rest day. Do I just start ramp it up tomorrow and call it Day 2? Or what?

Very confused now :(

I think you have to listen to your body on this one. If you aren't ready after ONE day of Start it Up to move to the next, then do it until you are ready. I have Slim in 6 also, and I have never just done S.I.U. for a day and moved to the second workout. That doesn't make sense to me. Honestly, listen to your body. I don't see anything wrong with doing each for 2 weeks.

The best thing about slim in 6 is you go at your own pace. I did the Start it up DVD for a week just to make sure I was ready. If you feel that you are ready to move on then do so. I did the first video a week and the second video for 2 weeks and the last video for 3 weeks. Its all about when you are ready. And... I stretched mine out to 8 weeks. I spent the last 2 alternating Burn it up and the cardio core video it comes with! Good luck! I just finished the program and my final weigh in is Wednesday!

When I first did Slim in 6, the recommended schedule was to do Start It Up for a week, Ramp It Up for a week, and Burn It Up for four weeks. I'm not sure when they changed the schedule, but you're right that they did. You definitely don't need to start over. If you feel like you have the moves down, go ahead and move to Ramp It Up and do that through Day 13. The longer you do RIU, the better prepared you will be for Burn It Up, which is a killer! It's only a few minutes longer than RIU, but it's a faster pace. The first time I did it, I was cursing at Debbie! But it does get better, I promise. Remember that the first time you do it. On the other hand, if you feel like you need more time with SIU, go ahead and do it a full week or even longer. This is a journey, not a race, and the important thing is consistency. If you make the program Slim in 8 or Slim in 10, there's nothing wrong with that. Good luck, and have fun!

The actual literature that comes with the program says 2 weeks for each DVD, which is what I did with the ladies at church in our fit group. I agree though to listen to your body. I could have moved on to RiU after a week and there were others who would have been happy to stay at SiU the entire 6 weeks.

Thanks. I tried ramp it up tonight and it kicked my butt! I too was cursing that woman! I thought I liked the resistance bands until after the first 8 she had the bright idea of adding 8 MORE!!!

I can see how it gives results though...it has to!

Haha, I too recall cursing her towards the end of those bands! I need to get my S.I.S on again soon, it's been too long!

LOL at cursing her. I like it in Burn it Up because she stops doing the alternating lunges and she does the band work one side at a time. I also prefer the order of the butt blasters. :D
