I have a Weighmax... Love it! I've had it over a year with no problems.
I got it from Overstock for less than $30.

My reccomendation is to buy one that measures in grams as well as oz because constantly converting 100g to 3.5oz is getting really annoying for me0 -
http://amzn.com/B001N07KUE This is the one I got for $25 from Amazon. It's been indispensable for me.0

Mine is made by Salter, I got it from bed bath and beyond. I didn't pay a whole lot of money for it I love it, it's small and counter friendly if you need a larger one they might make them larger.0

I've had a simple stainless steel one by Salter for the last 5 years and it's been awesome. I think I paid $30 for it and it can weigh in both grams and oz (and does total weight up to 5-7lbs I think). It's accurate and small enough for me to keep on the kitchen counter all the time. I've only had to replace the battery once in the 5 years I've had it but I turn it off every time I use it (rather than use the auto turn off feature).0
