I know this question is probably an old one for many of you and for the most part your probably tired of it...BUT I really NEED your HELP...PLEASE. I run for 30 minutes Mon-Fri. followed by weight training for an hour to one and a half hours. I do legs and core on Mondays, Hard core on Tuesdays with upper body, Wednesday is Legs and core again and Thursday is hard core and Upper body again. Friday I do supersets....Now I am reading that I may be hurting myself and not allowing my lean muscle to develop because I am running and working out with weights. The most I use in a set is 50lbs... and that is for when I do Romanian deadlifts. After that it's 40 lbs for goodmornings and so on. I didn't think I was using a large enough weight to hurt my muscle and my running is only for 3 miles in a 30 minute time frame. Can anyone clarify if this is ok and stay on track or if I should change it out so I can get to where I should be. I would appreciate any feedback.

Thank you
Susanne

I'd say make sure you eat enough, sleep enough and maybe make a midweek break in your regime by moving something to Saturday.

My personal fitness guy says you should exercise each muscle group once a week and allow 7 days between to allow muscle repair. says it is the best way to build muscle. so we do arms mon, hips and lower core wed, back and upper core thurs and legs fri. hope that helps xx

I would say 30 minutes of running isn't going to hurt your muscle development. Not sure how intense the running is for you but I can't imagine that making a difference. Assuming you are resting sat and sun I think your workout seems fine. If you think you are over doing it maybe just walk every other day or maybe throw in a day of working your shoulders and back just to switch things up and shock your muscles. Just my thoughts:)
