I started off on eating 1500 calories a day to loose .5kg a week (1.1 pounds). I now (especially since I have a lot to loose - 30kgs) want to up this to .75kgs a week if I can. My diary is now telling me I need to eat 1280 calories a day. Yet my base rate is apparently 2130 calories a day. So I would be having a deficit of 850 calories a day.
Does this sound right to people? It seems like a lot less, but I really don't know what I'm talking about.
Im 167cm tall, 93kgs if that helps at all. Have put my daily activities as sedentary as I am currently studying so sit a lot and I will add any exercise I do, which I know will give me more calories.
Any advice would be appreciated! Or just confirmation that this is right. Or any other info you have.

are you trying to do the TDEE method? I looked into this yesterday.. and to be honest I am confused as to how it works!
I mean people say it does work and all but I'm afraid of upping my calorie intake as of now since I am just starting my weight loss...
and quiet frankly I think it's pretty complicated to follow!
my plan is to stick to my program as I am currently doing because it's been working for me and I've lost weight.. the way I'm gonna do is when I hit the plateau, which I hope I won't.. that's when I'll be upping my calories but since the 1200/day goal works fine I will stick to that.. for now.
Sorry I really can't help you much. But I suggest keep doing what you're doing since you have some good progress and when you think you're plateauing maybe then increase the cals with more work out w/o eating it back?0
