Arcade Ms Pac Man. I spent most afternoons of 6th grade standing in front of that machine!
I also spent hours with friends playing Mortal Kombat.
Maybe not the best games but the ones I had the most fun with0 -
The Far Cry series is good, too.
Far Cry 3 is supposed to be terrific, but I am one of THOUSANDS of pissed off people who can't get it to launch.
Just Cause 2 is full of hilarious antics. Again, it crashes incessantly but it's almost worth it.0 -
I have always been a Final Fantasy fan!! Love VII, VIII,IX, and X and would play all of them again. I'm also a HUGE Disney fan so when Kingdom Hearts came out, I thought, "wow, Square made this game FOR ME!!!" I'm also a HUGE fan of the Tales games like "Tales of Legendia" or "Tales of Symphonia"....yah...I'm def an RPG player. But as someone said, I've been playing since the mid 80s (got my nintendo at age 5) so I'm also a HUGE Mario and Zelda fan!0

I'd say my absolute favorite is The Legend of Zelda: Majora's mask. (and then The Ocarina of time).

World of Warcraft, hands down.
Oh and this, too x)
But this game made me fat so I'm trying to stay away from it now... :P0 -
Probably the first Fable. I had gotten out of video games until I played that and all the sudden I was back into it! I love comedy games and that was a great one. I love all the Fables. They're like little kid games for adults. I'll also always have a soft spot for Mass Effect. It was my first "serious" game. Since then I've gotten into a lot of the Bioware games. I think for me, it's more nostalgia rather than the actual games. But I still think they're good games. If you take out that stupid car in Mass Effect.0

Oh yeah I forgot.... EVERQUEST!!!!! My first MMO and the only MMO I ever loved....0

For classics, the original Legend of Zelda. As far as games I've gotten the most playtime and enjoyment out of, Prototype 2 or Bastion for console and Binding of Isaac for PC.Did y'all get A Realm Reborn?
Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful and I'm enjoying it, but WOW is the interface ever busy as all get-out. And playing a melee class leaves something to be desired as far as targeting and attack. But I'm still enjoying the heck out of it.0 -

The thread made me think of all the great games that I've ever played and then it struck me. Theif! Theif is my favourite game. Duh. I think of the whole series as one although I started with Deadly Shadows and played backwards.
I knew there was a reason my theif in Skyrim was called Garrett!
A-and... The new fourth game coming out in 2014... I can't control my feelings right now, sorry.0 -
Warcraft...dear god what an addictive game, and soooo much fun0

What I loved about that series, other than the awesome and oft-imitated stealth gameplay, of course, was the weird conversations you would overhear between the same two guard voices all the way through all of the games in the series (Dishonored, in all of its homage-y goodness, tries to replicate this, sometimes successfully). Also, yoinking treasure in the middle of a crowded room and not getting caught, but a guard freaking out, super fun. The greatest addition to #3 (Deadly Shadows, for you non-Thief people) was the oil thing. You don not wish to know how many times I dropped oil at the top of some stairs and then threw something to get the guards to come running. Early-gen ragdoll physics plus guards falling down stairs (and the hysterical voices they did when they fell), sometimes I'd do that until I was in tears from laughing so hard. Or two would go fall at the same time and accidentally stab each other. Or at the end of that one pier, and then shoot a firework arrow into the water, they'd go flying off into the water. I nearly start giggling just thinking about it.
I think I just might go play that today. I'm sure I still have the install disks somewhere...0 -
