As a vegetarian, do you eat seafood and eggs?

If you eat seafood, cold water fish and shrimp are good sources.

If you eat eggs, you're solid, get a carton of eggs and a few cartons of egg whites, mix those together in a 2:1 (egg white:egg) ratio and you've got some a good protein source for low calories.

Kidney beans have 10g per serving. Most nuts have about 6g. Whole wheat pasta has about 9g.

    It's a start.

Not that this isn't a good site, but my guess is there is a whole lot more out there on vegetarian forms of protein than here. Do you eat eggs and cheese? Eggs are almost the perfect food. Sorry, didn't see the above. Agree X2 seafood and eggs.
  • Thanx for your replys, iv started eating 3 eggs per day and a couple slices of cheese as i knew they had good numbers. I recently bought kidney beans to make chickpea curry so might start putting them in everything then lol. Thank you very much im trying to clean up my eating habits so learning new things all the time.

my protein! just watch the sodium in ur cheese and beans, AND the cholesterol in your eggs, perhaps egg whites might be wiser a choice! you should be getting tons of protein while doing insanity! So you can build muscle...more muscle burns more calories! :D

Quinoa is a good source of protein, especially being vegetarian. It is a complete protein meaning it contains all 9 of the essential amino acids. Egg whites are a great choice as well.

I've actually found some breads that are higher in protein as well... Franz thin buns have 5g for just 90 calories and Fiber One English Muffins have 6g for 100 calories.

Have a look at this webpage http://www.nomeatathlete.com/vegetarian-protein/

And additionally to that, avocados :D yumyum

I'm vegetarian too and have used this to get more of an idea of things I can eat which are high protein.

That being said I can never reach my protein goal under my calorie or fat one (on MFP), but as long as you're eating enough compared to what is healthy outside of MFP then I don't think it matters.
