Seeing changes in yourself?

This is my first time posting on here so be nice! I'm just getting really frustrated because I seem to be losing weight pretty well considering my last couple of tries!
I have lost almost 20 POUNDS in a month! Definitely thanks to the Jillian Michael's 90 Day Body Revolution!!
Anyway, 20 pounds seems like a lot to me, and when I see people on commercials, they're bragging about that! I would love to brag about it, but I absolutely do not see any real results outside of my body, if that makes sense.
In some ways, I do. I see what I can do now that I couldn't before and that I can even do the "harder" versions of her workouts (I'm still not done with the program!) But I still don't feel like I look much different, even my inches don't seem to have changed much, maybe like an inch around my waist.
My family has been saying all the time that they see it, which I appreciate, but I want to see it too! How long did it take you to see major changes in yourself? I'm 6'0, 252 (from 273) and I'm so worried that my body won't even change because I'm "big boned"

Take a photo of yourself right now. You can't see the changes because you're constantly seeing yourself everyday. The changes are small and you may never notice the change until you look back at photos. Was probably 3 months for me before I saw the big change.0

^^^^^^ this! I am 5' 3" and I have lost 29.6lbs. I have days where I feel smaller, and days where I feel BIGGER than when I was 'obese', seeing before and current pictures help a lot. You will get there though, it just takes time for you mentally to catch up with the progress you have made physically.
Good luck!0 -
I measure waist, hips and chest. Some people also measure thighs. Just be consistent in how you measure.0

I have seen no change what so ever in my body and I haven't lost any weight in terms of pounds but after 4 months I can fit into shirts that I never could before and my maxi dress doesn't make me look pregnant anymore. Use your clothes and month or so to track.0

First of all, well done on losing all those pounds. Secondly: don't be in a hurry, your body needs time to adjust. Thirdly: do not worry soon you will be able to see and more importantly feel the changes in your body. I know, coz I'v been there &done that.
And I second BlackPup's advice, taking measurements really helps to stay motivated.0 -

I used to tell my trainer that I have a skewed body image. People have been telling me for 18 months that they can see changes, and I honestly have trouble seeing them. When I DO see a change, I think that I am willing myself to see something that really isnt there.
For the last 7 months I have been taking progress pictures ( in the same clothes) at least monthly. When I put them side by side, I really CAN see changes.

im lucky that i dont have a lot to lose, i want to be fit and healthy not skinny and sick!
i took a picture of myself at the start and a picture last week and i can see the difference.
i posted it on instagram (ID is the same as here, SHEDTHESPREAD)
to give me the motivation to carry on.
i do 30DS and i jog and cycle, thats all, i dont have gym membership so work with what i have
i suggest you do tha same, get some pictures takem, ideally wear the same clothes in each progress pic
im sure youre just being hard on yourself, i bet your transformation so far is inspiring!
