Bob Harper workout DVDs

Has anyone done any of Bob Harper's workout DVDs? I mainly do Jillian Michaels' workouts (we have a love/hate relationship!) but fancy a bit of variety. How do they compare in terms of intensity and difficulty?

    I have!
The workouts are very different IMHO. I haven't done many from either of them, but have sampled a few. I prefer Bob's workouts because I enjoy the length and the intensity. (I recently did 30 days with his Inside Out Method (4 dvds) and posted about it in a Bob Harper's workouts group)

Jillian's workouts are great, and they push me, but the ones I've tried have been too short... I need a little more than the 30 minutes of 3-2-1.

They are a nice way to mix things up since they are very different from Jillian's. however, I enjoy his workouts less because I find them less structured and less fun. I do sweat a lot and feel proud of myself afterwards, though.

Thanks, I assumed that their workouts would be quite similar as they work so closely together but then I guess that's not what I want if I'm looking to vary things!

If you like Jillian's workouts, I'd recommend Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones which are 45-50 minutes each and both really full-on workouts.
  • I bought all he had on his website mytrainerbob.com. They were all on sale for like 3.99. I love them! Have been rotating through them for a couple of weeks now. I think they're a great cardio workout w/ lots of upper lifting along w/ LOTS of squats!! The ones I got vary from 30 min to an hour. You continue moving the whole time. It's not as intense cardio wise as say Insanity. But it gets you going w/ total body exercises. I prefer him to Jillian:smile:

Thanks for the website tip! I like those 2 Jillian workouts, Banish Fat and NMTZ and am looking always for new blood when some start to get stale.
A friend on MFP is trying a a Bob Harper DVD she got on Amazon and I'm looking forward to her review also. At those prices, it doesn't hurt too much if you don't like it.

I also found a HIIT DVD by Amy Dixon that looks good. Has anyone tried her?
