I'm taking the plunge! Is it the right thing?

I'm upping my calories! I've lost 13lbs at 1200 calories a day. And now I feel like I stalled and that my body needs more. I actually feel like my body is begging for more in the form of hunger and cravings for healthy food. My workouts seem to be getting harder and my body just feels heavier. So I am going to take the plunge and up my calories!

I am 5'2" and 125lbs. I work out daily - 45 minutes (minimum) cardio in the form of running, biking or elliptical. Weights 2-3 times a week.

My BMR is 1,300/ day. My TDEE is 2,000. I've chose to do the 25% off TDEE method which brings me to 1,500. Please check my math- I used averages from at least 3 different calculators to come to these numbers.

Any advice would be appreciated!

I think that it may help! This happened to me and it helped to break my plateau :)I was at 1200 and I went up to 1700 ( I think my lifestyle is "fit" now, not "lightly active") & it helped me break through.

I think upping your calories is good. IMO I do think tdee -25 is too aggressive for ur height and current weight. I have seen advice that when upping ur calories to do it 200 cal at a time upping every week or so. Good luck to you and congrt
    S on the weightloss.

You should only be on 10-15% less than TDEE at your weight. I'm around the same weight and height too.

Just make sure you're eating plenty of fruits, vegetables and complex carbs. Stay away from low-nutrient food.

Not for weight loss purposes, but probably rather for health reasons. If she isn't eating very many calories, she should try to make sure that the ones she IS eating have as much nutrition as possible.

ETA: I personally eat whatever I want because I have plenty of calories to play with. I can afford some junk.
