I'm curious to know if anyone has been successful with these supplements. I don't agree with taking diet pills and not exercising or eating healthy. I just saw this online and I was curious to see if this was something different than all others and if anyone had taken them and been successful.

I have yet to see a single success story where the person credits a pill with their lasting weight loss.0

As Lora said, many people ask about them, most respond that the only thing that got thinner was their wallet.
Do a search on the forums for them, you'll find lots of threads about it.0 -
My boss' wife takes this supplement. I've never heard of it before, and now I've come across it twice in a week! What's it 'supposed' to do?0

For myself I take it as a supplement but don't depend on it for weight loss. My mom is a nurse and I talked to her about it before taking it. She said as long as it all natural ingredients there is nothing wrong in taking it. For myself it gives me a small boost since my metabolism is low due to my underactive thyroid. I still work out hard and eat right so that right there tells you I don't view it as a magic pill for any weight loss.

This is the one I take and I get it from Amazon is less then $20 for 60 pills.

Just remember it's not a magic pill but I know myself and some others who say it does help. Do some research and decide what's right for you.0 -
i've been looking into green coffee extract too. This Doctor Oz seems to be saying good things about it in his study on his TV show. The case study done by him on his TV shown here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0mqeq6EeJ8 seems to be pretty convincing. I may give it a try based on the results some of those women have seen in that video.

Dr. Oz mentions things he is paid to mention or to satisfy advertisers.
He looks like a duck and sounds like a duck. Quack.
Every positive result involving pills was accomplished by the diet and exercise part of the program. The pill is just to give them something to sell you.
Take in fewer calories than you burn.

But theres lot of good talk about it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_w4G4vJVmA
I don't see him directly promoting any brand so why are people so skeptical?i've been looking into green coffee extract too. I take the Green Coffee Bean Extract pills. The same ones that were advertised on Dr. Oz. Two pills are like drinking a cup of coffee...not a strong cup either. I've had the same bottle since January, so I am not a consistent user. The inches and weight loss that I have experienced has nothing to do with these pills. My multi-vitamins give me more energy than these. They also have not suppressed my appetite. If you are looking for an energy or metabolism supplement; there are much better ones on the market.0

The best thing for appetite suppression and metabolism increase is exercise. You don't have to go to the gym either. Even a 30 minute run, or a long walk would be great. Oh and did I mention FREE? :P0

It seems to prevent retention of fat, and increase your metabolic rate. There's a study from the University of Scranton where people on the extract lost about 10% of their body weight during the study. After that it was featured on Dr. Oz show and seems to have snowballed from there, with lots of scam products.
I have been taking it for a few months, with good results. About 2-3 lbs a week, give or take, with no change in diet. I'm exercising a bit more, but nothing out of this world. Just have more free time while on summer vacation.
The only caveat is make sure you're getting the right product and that you follow the instructions. I found the information at http://www.skinnygreencoffee.org/ and have also been ordering from that site. So far, so good.
Don't listen to the naysayers. There always seem to be people with no interest other than to make others miserable. This is the one pill that actually has serious clinical research to back it up, on top of the Dr. Oz thing which I will admit, I'm not a fan.
Peace,

If you don't take the extract as per the instruction, of course it won't work. That's like saying antibiotics don't work when you only took half the prescribed regimen. You'll not only still be sick, but you will have also made whatever bug you have resistant to that particular antibiotic.
Here's a good article on why GCBE isn't working for some people, on high on the list is precisely what you're doing:

Are you "noping" anything in particular? Here's the University study:

First saw this on Dr. Oz. Made sure I purchased the :Pure Extract". Followed all the instructions and advise that I could find. I saw NO results from taking this product. My friend did the same thing and same result as me. It may work for some people I just did not have good results.0
