Wedding Shedding (Bridesmaid here!)

Hi, I started this in January and lost 1.5 stones (I live in the UK) for my friends wedding and I've gained back 10 pounds since then. Looking for supportive friends and people who want support.

I finally cracked when I got asked to be a bridesmaid for my friend next May and she told me the dress fittings are in December. I am the biggest of all the bridesmaids and wish to look hot for the wedding fittings and the wedding ha!

Look forward to hearing from you guys!

P.S I don't mind if you are UK, US or anywhere based, just that you are supportive and/or need supporting as we work towards losing the weight together :)

Hi. I am going to be a bridesmaid in May too. For my cousins wedding. I was asked 3 weeks ago and the dress fittings were last week! It did not give me much time for the fitting. But they had every size there so it all worked out, and they said that we could exchange the dresses if we go up or down a size. Luckily it's not the type of dress that needs altering, and it's a shorter dress. I have also cracked when I was asked. I am trying to get down some sizes before the wedding.

I wish that I could aim to be hot for the wedding like you, but unfortunately, I am not in a position where I can have a goal to be hot by May since I am obese now and not very attractive... My goal is to just not embarrass my cousin on her special day. I don't want the guests to wonder why my cousin picked that fat ugly girl. So I just want to blend in with the others as much as possible. I might want to meet someone at the wedding since it's a younger crowd around my age but right now I am just focusing on not embarrassing my cousin and the wedding party.

Consider looking into Bob Harper's "Jumpstart to Skinny" book. It's a three week regimen to help you shed pounds and tone up. It's not meant to be done for longer periods than three weeks, so I would hold it off until about the beginning of November. Until then, try to lose weight the normal way (watching your intake, switch foods, watch proportions, exercise more).

    Hope that helps!
