I want to join. I am wanting to lose weight for sometime now. I believe we all can do this. I signed up yesterday but my weigh in day will be on Mondays. I hope I dont let myself down. I hope 30lbs are doable.

I have weighed in and although I started back on MFP last Monday I consider that just a prelude to really starting today. I am also beginning a 6 week training to run a 5k. I am excited and know this time I can do it. If anyone wants to add me as a friend please do the more encouragement we can have the better. Great idea! I've got back off holiday at my highest weight ever, but the kids went back to school today so I have some time to concentrate on me. And I'm definitely going to change my ticker to the phase goals- much less depressing!

This weekend I didn't do so well eating wise. Back on track this week though. I have began eating gluten free & organic as much as possible. I'm starting to get really used to it. Eating healthy & in portions is starting to come a little easier as well.
Lost 12 pounds since the last time I weighed myself, which is fantastic!!

I'm motivated to do this, but I'm afraid to exercise in public.
Can you find a friend who wants to exercise too? It helps when there is someone there with you. I used to be nervous at the gym. I hired a personal trainer for a few sessions. It really gave me confidence when I had a routine and knew what I was doing. If neither of these are options, You can try distracting yourself from your fear with music, a good book or a favorite TV show. There are also MANY exercise videos on You Tube. You can start at home.0 -

I'm afraid to exercise in public to you weighto. I find pool exercise a good way to start. I'm 65 and have knee and hip problems. I was afraid at first about the bathing suit but found a good one to fit me in the Woman Within.com site. I tell myself that I'm doing this for myself. I want to be healthy and live to see my Grand daughter grow up. Soon you find that most people in water exercise groups are also overweight and come in all sizes and shapes. I now feel more comfortable and trying to rethink exercise more as an activity I enjoy and that will help me get to my three month goal. Try to forget about what people think about w eight or shape,you are trying to improve your health. I let this rule and ruin my life for 65 years. When I exercise I think about how different my life will be both health wise and with my thinking. I wish you success in all your efforts.:happy: :happy:0

6 lbs (170-164 lbs) Dr's set goal Wt=175 lbs Total goal in 1 year= 58 lbs I can do this! I'm using Chris Powell's Carb cycling diet also and so far so good. Need to figure out the 9 minute exercise I'm supposed to do when I first get up. Can anyone help with that ? I'm a bit confused. I also need help posting so it doesn't all go into one paragraph.:laugh:0 -
