So I worked out today (ran 5 miles) and I didnt eat HORRIBLE or anything. All I could think about tonight is eating a bowl of vanilla ice cream with a little chocolate and peanut butter mixed in. So I weighed myself and I am up a couple pounds from 2 weeks ago.....sigh. :grumble: :grumble: :grumble:
Now I can't bring myself to eat the ice cream and I can't stop thinking about it.
Going to cry myself to sleep now!

don't cry yourself to sleep but I wouldn't eat the ice cream. Who knows why you are up...it could be water weight. I wouldn't stress over it, you are going to have those ups and downs. Try some sorbet instead of ice cream or even some sherbet. Keep your chin up.0

do you usually weigh yourself at night? I notice my weight can fluctuate wildly during the day (I usually weigh myself in the morning) sometimes 3 lbs or so!
If you worked out for that long today and you have the exercise calories left, I say go for it! Then get a good night's sleep and weigh yourself in the morning. :flowerforyou:0 -
I hope you feel better. It's so hard with all that running and you can't even enjoy some ice cream. I buy weight watchers it has less fat and i enjoy them and it doesn't effect my weight as long as you don't go over the cal.for the day. I love this plan I have good days and bad.Trying to figure out how to eat and what but it's pretty easy I'am new at this game and today is a week. I"ve lost 3 pds. already without starving myself.Hang in there!0

Thanks guys....sometimes its nice to just do a little whining to make me feel better. Tomorrow is a new day, maybe I can have some ice cream tomorrow. I have circut class in the morning so if I mind my Ps&Qs during the day, I might be okay.
I think I can I think I can I think I can.......

maybe just do the icecream.. not peanut butter.. and depending on the choc...is it syrub or hot fudge?.. big difference in cal and fat.... or try reduced cal.. and not late at night.. how about a lighter snack.. and WATER...0

ok, so I have convinced myself (along with your help!) that I can make it through the night. I have also promised myself for breakfast in the morning I can have the El Loco Monkey from our local coffee shop. It is a whole banana, 2 tbsp of peanut butter, powered vanilla yogurt and ice blended into a creation so thick you swear you are drinking a shake.
WHOOOOOO...that was a close one. I feel better now. Now off to bed or I will never be able to get up for 530 class in the morning.....and then I for SURE can't have my smoothie!!
Thanks guys!:drinker:

Now that sounds good! I guess I have it easy...I don't care for ice cream. I know that's unusual but I just don't care for it. I do love sorbet though!!! But this shake sounds fantastic!!0 -

I think I want the peanut butter more then anything....I was talking to the owner of the coffee shop yesterday and telling him how much I loved the shake, but that I really shouldn't eat them. He said, why not? Then he told me what was in it... I couldn't believe it. I thought it had to be ice cream. He doesnt even add any of the sugary flavorings! And it is sooooooooo good!0 -
Glad to hear it worked out for you. Personally, Ice cream is one of my worst downfalls.
My favorite, if I want a cold snack. I put a couple yogurts in the freezer. They aren't as creamy as traditional frozen yogurt, they are a nice small size. And really delicious that way.0
