Hi pals
I am at my wits end I started my diet & exercise plan again on 8/16/2013 weighing 288.8 by 8/25/2013 I was down to 283 a little later that week I started a bit a strength training. The muscles I use mostly focus on quads, triceps, biceps, & gluts. As of today I am 283.8, the scale I have measures weight, water mass, and fat mass. My fat mass when I started was 58% or 58.1% I can't rightly remember today it measured at 57.5%. To be honest I had a oopise moments last week when my company sponsored lunch or dinner for three days in a row however ever since the weekend when I went back to my regular habits I lost the weight I put on & then gained 0.8lbs (basically I went from 284.4 to 283.0 then to 283.8). What am I doing wrong? Is this normal I'm trying to stay focused, but I'm starting to feel frustrated.

Forget the scale. Don't become a slave to it. I recommend weighing in only once every two weeks or once a week at most. Also make sure you weigh in at the same time every morning, after you wake up and after you go to the bathroom, but before you shower or eat something. Your weigh varies throughout the day because of water retention, and other things. Even if you do this and you weigh in one week and say only lost 1lb instead of your target of two (hypothetical), don't sweat it! I find when this happens to me, I lose 3 lbs the next week, so it evens out. Weight isn't that important, just enjoy the general trend, DOWN! Enjoy0
