I broke the metacarpal under my right little finger years ago and it healed fine but it aches as I do weights (and in cold/damp weather but that's a different issue. Any suggestions for what I might do to protect it and reduce the strain on it when I use the weight machine?

My best guess is to get some gloves you can cinch up real tight and see how that goes.0
