Any Tips on Fast Ways to add your Exercises?

I workout 5 days a week and do a good mixture of circuit training, boot camps, running, and strength training. I do not have the time or patience to enter every single exercise and the repetitions individually. I do such a variety! I have been simply writing my daily exercises down in my notes but would love to account for them better in My Fitness Pal. Any quick tips on adding your exercise on routines like this?

Here's your tip: Don't add your exercises. It's a waste of time on this app. Go under cardio and log it as circuit training by total time, not individual moves. If you're looking to record individual movements, get jefit
  • Thanks! I was real discouraged did not want to waste all that time adding individually.

Ditto. I add running, swimming, and biking; anything else (ie lifting, Spartacus, etc) all gets logged as circuit training by time. Oh, FYI, if you don't wear a heart monitor - like myself, then subtract 100-150 calories off of their calorie burn to get anywhere close to an accurate number.

Use fitocracy to log your exercises! It's fun, you gain experience and levels and badges and there are quests. You can also save routines to make it easier to enter a specific workout later (and hopefully soon they'll let you edit said routines and create them a little more easily xD)

I assume eventually MFP will end up having a link with those guys. The number of users that are on both sites has to be quite impressive!

I'm not sure what the forum guidelines are about posting register links, but I figure what the hell, if my post gets edited I can still give you my referral link, just message me!

Or just sign up directly without it. I'm just a random stranger, anyway :P
