Ladies only Boot Camp?

So after I finished a brutal HIIT workout, I was leaving the gym when I noticed a sign for "Ladies Boot Camp" please sing up.
I asked the gym folks, why is it only for ladies? Why not a boot camp for both genders. They said that the gym wants to encourage to ladies to try something different. The gym wants the ladies to know there is more than just the elliptical and treadmill at the gym.

As a female who loves weights, intense workouts, and runs outside, I have not stepped on an elliptical / treadmill in over 1 year.

Curious, is there a need for this class?

For some, sure. Unfortunately a lot of women are "cardio rats" and a ladies only boot camp may be a great way for them to gain some comfortability and confidence to realize that there is more to exercise. For some, it's easier for them to be around just women. I bet the class sells out quickly.

Yes, not sure why you would have a problem with it. If it makes women feel more comfortable then why not?

absolutley. When I first started working out, working out with men intimitated me. I thought if it was men and women, i would look like a weak out of shape weakling compared to them.
I obviously know better now...but we al need to feel comfortable when starting soemthing new

Just like the womens only section in the gym. Some are just more comfortable there.

Your gym has a women's only section? What's in that section?
