Exercise with arm in cast?

Any suggestions? I had a tendon repair on my hand and my arm is in a hard cast. I have trouble with swelling if I do too much which is frustrating. I have stepped on the scale and realized how much I've gained over the last year. I have this cast another month. Any suggestions? I am starting to work on my diet the best I can right now. It's my right hand and of course I'm right handed. Cooking is a bit of a challenge, to say the least.

That's tough. I'd try to do squats and lunges. Possibly light jogging. Ab crunches. With all that in moderation and diet you should be able to battle the weight.0

It took a year for you to put on weight, one more month isn't going to be that big of a deal in the long run. Use this time to set up some healthy eating habits, and maybe do some light exercise, like walking.0
