Eating ideas for breakfast before jogging/walking?

Just wondering what I should be eating in the AM. I get up early and get the kids ready and off to school. By the time the are gone, I am starving and eat something and have a cup of coffee. I try to wait at least 30 minutes before starting to exercise, but that is hard. Is there something I can eat quickly and get right to my workout? Any suggestions are appreciated.

maybe some kind of toast with some peanut/almond butter on top? Protein and carbs are a perfect pre-workout snack.
  • Tortilla with beans and shredded cheese. Small amount, of course.
Or an apple with peanut butter.
Or just a handful of almonds/pistachios/cashews
  • Try a banana or a wrap with some turkey slices in it. Instant oatmeal is filling.
  • A protein shake is a great pre-wrokout meal. Sometimes I eat a low fat string cheese with it.

I LOVE the luna protein bars, they are soooo sinfully delicious, and that paired with a glass of skim milk really gets me going and its quick!
or instant oatmeal with chopped up apples, yummy!

That's exactly what my trainer recommened - something complex like wheat toast with a spoon of peanut butter before and then something simple afterwards like a piece of fruit - usually a banana for me.
