Counting Calorie alone?

So this is my third week using My Fitness Pal and I must say, i actually do like keeping up with what I am eating because it makes me realize how many calories I was taking in before. I come very close to reaching my daily calorie allowance every day, some days I go over some I am shy 100-200 away. However, I have noticed that I go over on Fat, Protein, and Sugar almost every day. Should I worry about those right now or should I only look at calories?

What you want to look for in your macros is balance. If you are very heavy on one, or very light on one, it can adversely affect your body. but if you keep them all pretty balanced, you should be fine. Also, I would suggest paying more attention to your carbs than your sugars. MFP counts natural sugar found in fruits the same way it counts the sugar in a snickers bar, so it seems to be pretty common to go over their sugar allowance and still have a healthy diet. If your carbs aren't inflated, and your primary sugar intake isn't sweets and candies, don't worry about it.0

I don't check mine, I have only checked calories. Since it was all new to me, calories was most important in the initial weightloss. If I'd worried about macros I don't think I would have continued! I would watch calories first and add in exercise. Then look into that!0

i try to look at everything including calcium and cholesterol. i find that i tend to hit my protein and sugar count very easily so i've cut back on meat and junk food and fruit.0
