Has anybody done Breathless Body by Amy Dixon?

I thought I would create another topic for this one. This is a rigorous workout! Has anybody done this program at length and what are your thoughts? It is a HIIT (High Intensity Training) based on the Tabata method.

yup, i just finished breathless body II "the edge" like 20 mins ago.awesome workout. I have have completed it a few times, I also have the first breathless body video. Both are tough & effective, the routines are no joke but there are 3 levels shown so pretty much anyone can complete them. when i started i was mostly at level 1 with every move, now i'm at levels 2-3 depending on the move.0

I have also have Breathless Body II, they both are tough and are great calorie burners. They get the most play out of all my cardio videos0 -
Just finished this work out about an hour ago. It's my go to work out to kick my butt and burn calories.0

I will order Breathless Body ll if the moves are a lot different. It seems with this one I will have to modify a lunge or do something else, but the others I can do one of the 3 levels. The idea is to keep your heart rate up and "breathless" for a while but it looks fun.
I need some new blood in my DVD rotation and I think this will be a keeper. I ordered a Susan Chung kickboxing/strength/tabata DVD that was good too, but the tabata was shorter.0 -

yes, the moves are different but the format is similar in both videos. There is more variety in the 2nd one because instead of 8 in a row of the same move, you do several sets of 3 different moves. there are some down on the ground burpee/plank type moves thrown in the mix.
I often modify moves on both (and other) videos. Some days i want it to be higher or lower impact, sometimes i just did a lot of calisthenics or upper body work the day before so i avoid the plank moves & sub in something else....other times i am just not in the mood to do a certain mood so i do something else to help keep it feeling fresh & fun0 -
I do that too...some people seem to think they have to do everything religiously on the DVD's...like it's a magic potion, most of the time, it's just variety of similar moves they used on other DVD's.
With Jillian Michael's, I steal moves she used on one DVD that I like better for the chest, do standing mountain climbers instead of plank ones to keep my heart rate up.....some days, I just want to get through 30 minutes, but it doesn't have to be exactly like the DVD.. I know I can't lunge, so I do something good for me but that still gets the job done.
I will do Amy's DVD Monday and have the second one in my "cart" for my next purchase. : )0 -

exactly! So long as your blood is pumping & you get your heart rate up it is ok to do whatever moves you like best. I find that mixing it up definitely helps keep me motivated.
I just did breathless body I and i swapped out 2 of the moves that i didn't feel like doing. I simply substituted in something i was in the mood for and it worked like a charm. got a huge calorie burn0 -
Well, it was quite a workout, very tried at the end but felt good. I did mainly level 1 and 2, occasionally 3 seemed fine, but then you remember how many you are doing. : )
I modified a bit for my knees, I did similar but not exact exercises for a couple...the way I look at it, if I can keep my heart rate up doing my own level 2/3, why do her level 1 and barely raise it? She does variety for the average person not someone who has achy knees and that's fine. Most were doable.
I think this one and her second tabata DVD will be a once or twice a week choice when I need a boost and have extra time. I'm glad I bought it.0
