I have recently lost 90 pounds which I am happy about. I look great standing up - but when I sit down I have so much belly fat! Anybody know how to lose in that area?

Can't spot reduce. Fat in the abdominal area is usually the last to go for the vast majority of people.0

There's a wrap that can help with spot reducing and even tightens skin. I've used it myself, and as I continue to lose I will keep using them so my skin doesn't sag. They're called ItWorks Ultimate Body Applicator. They're all natural too0

Um, everyone's stomach does that when they sit.......:noway:0

I wouldn't advice the ItWorks body wraps. The general conclusion seems to be they help get rid of a little water weight, might help tighten skin, but they don't remove fat.

Personally any company that has to "It Works" in the title seems to be trying to hard to sell a product. If it really worked they wouldn't need to put that in the title.
Reducing BF% will eventually get rid of the fat in your abdominal area. It just takes patience.0 -

I agree with this. You lose the fat were you gained it last. The tummy area is were we first started the weight gain and it will be last to go. For me that and the boob area. I know plenty of my friends that the boobs are the first to go when losing weight. You can only strengthen the muscles under the fat.0 -
whats the wrap called and where can i get it0

Save your money. All it does is tighten the skin for a day.0 -

If that. I've seen people try to sell these disposable wraps on this site for anywhere from 59-99 dollars. For the $$ it'd take to start, you can pick up a decent beginner HRM to get accurate exercise calorie readings and buy a food scale to measure your food and get more weight loss benefit.
Hell, you could get more lasting health benefit lifting up a bucket of $99 in pennies and putting it back down.0 -
I am no expert on this but is it possible that its not all fat and instead be a "flabby" area where fat has been lost and if so would toning up through exercise help it look better?0

Continued fat loss is all that is going to help, but really, everyone has a little "pooch" when they sit because the skin gets compressed. Good posture will help.0

I've been using them, and they don't remove fat, they shrink it. And as long as you maintain, as in don't gain weight, the results last. I have kept the inches off for almost a year now. Best thing to do is find a distributor that can answer any questions you have. Good luck!0 -

I tried a wrap. They wrapped me up like a mummy. I was soaked in a solution, laid in a warmer for an hour and when they unwrapped me, I lost 20 inches off my body.
Then I drank a few glasses of water and it all came back.
If there was an easy fix or a way to get rid of tummy fat, none of us would have it. So, everyone is right, unfortunately. You cannot spot reduce. Keep exercising and try to tone up, it will help.0 -

By shrink, you mean dehydrate, amirite?
Every dance convention I go to sells these silly things now, and I've yet to hear anyone other than sellers say "it *actually* works." But, some girls use them right before a performance to "tighten" things up. Definitely not permanent.0 -
Spend your time researching exercises that work the transverse muscle. Its the muscle that wraps around the torso and is responsible for smooth lines and a strong core. Usually they're movements that reach across the body like sit up/crunchies where the opposite knee and elbow reach towards each other; or reaching for the opposite foot when doing kicks or knee lifts in a standing pose.0

Things like this are "too good to be true", that's why people are laughing at it. These wraps, however, do help temporarily. I got my first one in 1984 and I was amazed. But of course you gotta drink water, and that makes the water weight you shedded come back. Whenever I want to get a temporary fix, I get one. But beware, the coach will turn into a pumpkin. Last month my daughter did an Itworks, and we were surprised. But by the time she got home after midnight, it had worn off. I like using the wraps.
In no way am I saying yours did not last, I can't afford to get them often enough!0 -
Is it Tummy Fat or Loose Skin?
If your tummy area is thicker than a few millimeters, there is residual body fat. the skin will appear loose and drape-y. Skin that fills your hand when you squeeze it isn’t just skin. Then that's some good news. Which means, with patience, you will most likely be able to tone up that area with strength training. But I really mean with patience. Depending on how much you have, it could take a year or so.
If your tummy area is paper thin, closer to the thickness of your eyelid or the back of your hand than you are looking at loose skin. In that case, I recommend making an appointment with your doctor to see what their opinion is, and what your options are.
I hope this helps!
