What can I do for supper? Confused

Ok I will make this a short post. I have gone WAY over my calories (and everything else) for the day but I haven't had supper yet and I am HUNGRY. Does anyone have suggestions on a healthy supper that won't keep taking me into the deep end? Thanks!

Sorry I can't say what you can eat with really low calories for supper and if today is bust then maybe put it down to one of those days and start again tomorrow.
One thing I will ask is, are you getting enough protein in your diet? This will help you stay fuller for longer and there are plenty of foods out there that offer good protein without going overboard on calories0 -
Try to make healthy choices for dinner, but don't worry too much about it. If you're hungry, eat. One "bad" day won't ruin your progress.0

So you weren't perfect. You know what you did, now think about how you could have chosen better. Now back to your question. I would have a serving of protein (about the size of the palm of your hand) and some vegetables (not potatoes) and call it a day. Have a glass of water before you eat. Hope this helps.0

I agree with most of the above comments. One bd day does not progress break. I suggest, on top of the protein and veggies...why not squeeze in a workout? Use your body weight, go run, walk, do a video...something/anything. Just move and burn those calories!!!0

Definitely follow the advice of the others. You had a bad day, oh well. Eat supper and chalk it up as a loss today. One hugely important thing to do though given that you have had a bad day is to up up up your water intake for the rest of today!!! If you had a "cheat day", you probably took in a crap load of sodium and will be retaining water. This will trick you into thinking you put on fat which didn't happen in pounds, may possibly have happened in a ounce or two maybe but not likely.
You may think it is crazy to up the h2o but it will make a huge difference!
Again, blow the rest of the day and chalk it up. Wake up in the morning refreshed and hit the ground running. The hardest thing to do is to say no but you can do it. I know it because I can do it and I am a freaking food junkie and to top it off I am taking prednisone and freaking starving all the time!!
Don't sweat the little losses, turn it around in the AM. Good luck!0 -
Also make sure your goal is realistic... If it's not enough food, make sure to use the 'lose 1 lb a week' setting, and try to eat foods that will fill you up - lean protein, a lot of veggies etc. And don't forget to log your exercise calories and eat that too.
Frankly you could easily get 250 calories for dinner by just going for a walk for 45 minutes.0 -

Live, learn, move on. Do better tomorrow and in the future. Don't stress about it. Maybe try to go a little under the next day or two to help make up, or accept that you won't have as much of a weekly/monthly loss as usual. If you didn't go above your maintenance-level caloric intake, you shouldn't even gain, you just won't lose...
Whatever you do, don't say "well, I screwed up, may as well not bother tomorrow or the next day either", as that's the path to undoing everything. Everyone will make mistakes at some point, and the best thing to do is say "Yeah, I messed up, but I can do better in the future."0 -

Home made soup...canned or fresh tomatoes, pumpkin puree, celery, onions, garlic, cabbage. A few beans for protein, a small amount of rice for carbs. Chile peppers for seasoning, and salt if it fits your profile.0

Not very good advice, IMO.
If you are hungry, eat. If you really feel you must eat within your calories than have a lot of veggies you enjoy which will be low-cal and yet filling.0 -
Take a walk/run so you can eat without going over, or as far over.0

In the future, I suggest that you eat some chicken breast, or some other protein source, as others have suggested, along with your fruit and vegetables.
When you eat a carbohydrate-heavy or carbohydrate-only snack or meal, then your blood sugar is going to rise rapidly, your pancreas will release insulin to lower it and when it is low again your body will be screaming for more glucose. Lather, rinse, repeat.
If, instead, you eat protein with carbohydrate, then your blood sugar response will be mediated by the protein. You will feel fuller longer and won't have the issue of feeling hungry again an hour after loading up carbohydrates alone.
If, later this evening, you do feel hungry again, or have a craving, then eat some protein (chicken breast, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese or the like.)0 -
Eat a healthy dinner, make sure you have protein. Chicken and Veggies is a good choice. If you dont eat anything, you will wake up starving tomorrow and may set you up for a bad day. Make sure you are getting enough protein and fiber in your diet. They both keep you full!0

The things that have helped me lose so well is, first thing I get up in the morning, drink two glasses of lemon water (organic lemon juice tastes much better). Then a poached egg in half a pita with a tomato for breakfast. Lunch- two glasses of water before eating a serving of protein and two servings of veggies. Dinner (at four pm) two more glasses of water before eating, a serving of protein two servings of veggies, and half a serving of bread, just to taste it lol. Snack on fruit especially melons all you want! Msg me and tell me what you think. Good luck, you know I will be here for you!0

My dinner tonight was a frittata: one large onion and a medium bell pepper, chopped and then sautéed in a little olive oil. I added 6 oz. of diced ham, and some salt, pepper, and paprika, then stirred in 6 beaten eggs (extra large). I cooked until the eggs were set on the bottom and beginning to set on top, then put the sauté pan under a broiler for a couple minutes to finish cooking. After cooling, I cut it into 6 pieces, each of which was 160 calories. 2 pieces, with a little spinach and low-fat dressing on the side, was a completely satisfying dinner for well under 400 calories. I find that eggs are very filling for the calories they have, and eggs + veggies is a great combo for feeling satisfied without eating too much.0

I see no reason for her to fast and go hungry tonight because she's over her calories for the day. I personally don't consider that very healthy for either mind or body, especially the mind.
As others have said, IMO perhaps best to eat some good protein and veggies. You will sleep better and tomorrow doesn't care much about yesterday; sleep well and hit your calories as best you can tomorrow :flowerforyou:
