Advice for insanity workout program...

So I just bought the Insanity DVDs from a friend but its only the DVDs and calendar, not the meal plan book thing. I was wondering though, if I need to follow a strict diet plan in order to see results? I obviously plan on eating healthy/clean and following each workout with a protein shake but, is that good enough or is the program super strict??

You'll be fine, it recommends 5 smaller meals a day but they are pretty standard "healthy, protein filled" recipes. Just started today!0

The elite nutrition plan will help you calculate your daily calory needs for the insanity program-which is important as you wont get the best results if your calory intake is incorrect.
To summarise the plan, you need to eat 5 meals a day (every 3 hours) and the meals should only be 300 calories. The meals should be 40%protein, 40% carbs and 20% fat. You can snack in between your meals to increase daily calory intake for the day.
With regards to your food choices, avoid fizzy drinks/"white" carbs/sugars and stick to eating whole foods. Common sense stuff.0
