better "weekly weigh-in" the day after your "off day"?

i just started this week, and i've decided to have sunday as my "off day" from working out.
i did my weekly weigh-in this morning, but after doing some reading, i am wondering if my weigh-ins wouldn't show more progress if i weighed in on mondays?
i know, i won't actually see the numbers i want for many more months, and i'm taking it slow...
but, i'm just curious if the "off day" gives your muscles a change to recover (and stop storing water for protein) and thus the numbers would be better on monday?
hope that makes sense.. xx

It honestly doesn't matter as long as you are consistent with when you weigh in.
I've personally noticed, however, that my weight tends to increase slightly the day after a workout but also tends to decrease the day after a non-workout day. The amount of change is really...and I mean REALLY...minimal, so I just stick with a day to weigh in and leave it at that.0 -

The same happens to me as well and I guess at first you'll be like oh! Awesome! But the fascination only lasts about 1 minute at most haha (especially because I use a KG weight scale so the difference is in the decimals! haha)0 -
I've had that happen also. But a lot depends on just how crazy I went on my "day off". If my diet had a lot of sodium then all bets are off, but yes, if I've been in a minor plateau for a while even though my diet and exercise has been decent, then a day off where my calorie intake is maybe 500 cals over my goal, then I do see a decent loss. I know that's people will probably go crazy, but it sure seems like it jump starts my metabolism. It seems like my body gets used to my eating/exercising routine, and needs to be shaken up every once in a while. BTW - sometimes I'll see some progress when my diet stays the same but I take a break from exercising for a few days.0
