OK I could use all the support out there. I gave birth 3 weeks ago and I have got to get back on the wagon for sure. I would like to lose about 30 to 35 lbs. That will get me back to my pre pregnancy weight plus to my original goal before I got pregnant. So I could use all the help there is out there. Thanks.

It's been 3 weeks! Give your body some time to adjust before pushing yourself too hard. Also, if you are breastfeeding it's not good to go on too strict of a diet. I had my son a year ago and I'm still about 7 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. I didn't even get serious about losing the weight until 3 months after he was born. It was honestly the last thing on my mind, lol. You can feel free to add me if you'd like.0

Congratulations! Are you breastfeeding? If so you need to add the 500 calories to what mfp suggests you eat. Be careful with your body, it's only been three weeks! My daughter is 14 months, and I started mfp when she was about 9 weeks, so it definitely works! Feel free to add me too! I'm on every day.0

It took me nine months to put the weight on, and it took me eight months to get it off. I trained for a half marathon in that time, but I didn't start until she was about three months old. I ended up dropping he 34 lbs I gained over pregnancy by about eight months postpartum, but I made sure that I went easy on myself, and was realistic. I focused more on being in shape than the weight itself, and my body told me how hard to go, or when to take it easy.
Give yourself time. Be patient. Pregnancy and childbirth are a lot of trauma, and your body needs time to recover.0 -
I'm also planning to get pregnant but I'm scared of adding fat to what I'm still struggling to get rid off...so those who started when the baby was 3 months where you breastfeeding? I'm a c-sec person, can I also start exercising after 3 months? Thanks for this post.0

I'm not the pregnancy expert or anything, but even I know that three weeks is too soon for you to be worrying about this, especially if you are breastfeeding.
Example: I have a friend here who was losing weight eating 3500 calories a day while breastfeeding. Was she a freak of nature? Probably. Do you need to eat a ton and not worry about "dieting" when you're breastfeeding? Definitely.0 -

Completely agree. You just gave birth!! You definitely need to give your body time to recover.0 -
Thanks for all the support. I am not breastfeeding so I don't have to worry about the extra calories. This was my second pregnancy. Before my first pregnancy I had lost 80 lbs got pregnant gained 22 lbs lost it plus additional 20 more. This time when I got pregnant I started out less than I did the first time but gained 33 lbs. I said all that to say this I know it may sound crazy but I know I need to be eating better. I mainly just want to start clean eating again and logging because it makes me much more aware.0

Hi there
Take it slowly and take care of yourself. I had my baby 5 months ago and am only just getting started on my weight loss journey now!
Feel free to add me and congrats on your little one.
