Needing Accountability.....

Good Morning: I'm Debbie, in my early 50's and 40 pounds overweight. I've been like this for a little over 10 years now. Had a bout with depression at that time, took medication, and ate my way to feeling better. Gained 60 pounds and haven't lost much of it since then. Now I'm heading into the dreaded menopause and things are shifting around but no real weight loss happening.

This is the first time I've looked at the Community section of MFP. I've been using it since August of last year and noticed how I've been slowly moving away from it. I've also noticed that as I use it less, I eat more......or vice versa. Maybe I over eat and track less.

None the less, I'm having difficulty keeping motivated and staying on track so I'm looking to connect with others wanting to have a bit of accountability. I tend to start the day off good and then slip as the day goes by. I have had some successes, I suppose. I originally lost 20 pounds but have now put 10 back on. I'd like to set a goal but I'm afraid to fail.

I wonder if others out there might be feeling like I do.

you are not alone in this. That is why I keep up with my weight loss boards on youtube, facebook and here. You can add me if you want. I found in the past that the weeks I dint track or input my calories and execise is the weeks I dint lose.

I feel the same way! I have a bunch of friends on here in the beginning but they all started bickering and I deleted them all lol. I am looking to connect to more friends on here. I like happy/positive people! Optimism is key when working through something like this! So I have sent you a friend invite. I am open to friend requests too :)
