What do you forget to log (or get careless about logging)?

For me it's nonstick spray and sugar-free gum.

Ketchup. I log all other condiments but not that one lol. And coffee. I log what I put in it, but the coffee itself does have a few calories and I don't include that.
I also give myself a few extra grams of things. I weigh my food. If a serving of cereal is 27 grams, I might have 30 grams in my bowl (well, 60 as I usually eat 2 servings) and I only record the standard serving size.
And these reasons are why I'm a slow loser lol. I don't log the things you mentioned either.0 -
buffets & all you can eat sushi
:laugh:0 -
Taste testing while cooking.
I do log costco samples and boy, those can ad up if I'm not paying attention!0 -
- cooking oil (i use either a spray or coconut oil so this doesn't concern me)
- gum
- until very recently, fish oil
- sugar-free soft drinks
basically if something is very marginal i don't log it; not worth my time and it's not going to make an appreciable difference0 -
nothing! i log everything that touches my lips0
-
that is awesome you inspire me0
-
Gum
Cooking spray
Usually crusts from the kids sandwiches :blushing:0 -
Spices and gum.
I try to add in those little sneaky bites of stuff my husband offers me. I want to be as accurate as possible, but I'd rather overestimate calories in.0 -
I work 3p-11p. I log everything up to 11pm......then "forget" my cheating when I get home and raid the fridge at midnight before I go to bed0
-
Spices, salt, vinegar, lemon juice when I put some on fish... that's pretty much it. I log everything else.0
-
Alcohol. After a few I start to forget what number I'm on.0
-
Ketchup and mustard. For awhile I wasn't logging my vitamins, but I've started doing that since most of them are the chewable/gummy type.0
-
Coffee & tea (plain), sugar free gum, spices. I log everything else! I was wondering about my gummy multi vitamins though...0
-
Spices (miss dash, garlic powder, cayenne, salt and pepper), cooking spray and/or coconut oil ... And taste tests while cooking.
Also, tic tacs, tea, and most marginal things. I know they add up eventually but they seem so miniscule and they are not easy to be aware of.
Oh, and I don't log water. I drink water by the gallons!0 -
nothing! i log everything that touches my lips
This0 -
Soy sauce and ginger that go with my sushi.
Free tastings at the pastry shop in the supermarket (Ouch on this one, I know!)0 -
coffee
water ( I like to track but I forget sometimes)
I don't log anything that's 0 calories.
If I take 1 bite of something, unless I know it's high in calories.0 -
Spices/seasonings
EVOO (I've never logged it, probably never will)
Gum
Any condiment under 10 calories a serving (think mustard, hot sauce, etc.)
I never used to track my vitamins, but I started doing so more to make sure I take them than for the macros. Turns out the only one I take that has any calories is the fish oil.0 -
I don't log gum, vitamins, or things i know have no cals like vineager0
-
Gum
Oil/oil dressings
Herbal tea
If I have 1 or 2 small pieces of candy
Just anything I dont think will make a significant difference. It will stress me out otherwise.0 -
I often forget to log coffee but the calories for a couple cups is negligible anyway.0
-
Good or bad I try to log everything. Even the times when I really don't want to see those numbers I log it anyways.0
-
let's see... tea, esperesso (if I take it black, otherwise I log milk cals), salt, pepper, spices and seasoning in general, vinegar.
Otherwise I try to log everithing :drinker:0 -
When I was still logging, I didn't count vegetables unless I was close to my calorie limit.
Now that I'm comfortable with fasting, I don't log anything, unless I know I'm going to eat something new or vastly different. I pretty much know what I can eat and still lose weight.0 -
Well I thought I was logging everything but seen your lists I realise I also don't log spices, herbs, salt, vinegar, and other tasty adds to food which have very low calories (eg tomato concentrate or broth cubes).
For the rest I weigh and log....everything....which probably explains how I lost 6+ pounds in 3 weeks :-)0 -
Tea and the milk I have in it0
-
nothing! i log everything that touches my lips
Everything? Really? *boggles*0 -
i weigh and log everything. I often forget to log water though.
I have to log everything, it helps keep me on track. I used to be a 'grazer', eating little amounts of lots of things. That is how i got fat, i wasnt aware of what i was actually taking in.. Now, i eat 3 meals a day, and 3 snacks, and log everything.0 -
I try to log seasoning and spices but its hard to find salt, pepper, paprika, garlic granules, turmeric etc on here. Plus I have some spices I brought back from Morocco that I cant even spell!
I also never log the 1 cal spray that I use, I know it must be about 10 - 20 calories worth that I use with dinner but I hope its not a big difference, If I use oil I measure it in tablespoons and try and work out how much I have used as I know one tablespoon is about 150 cals
I never log taste tests as I only ever try a tiny bit of food when cooking
I never log Saturdays! I know its not right for everyone but for me I get best results by having one day off a week to relax0 -
cooking oils, condiments, drinks sometimes0
