whey protein shake and bloating

Today was the first time I had this protein shake. I had it twice today and now I am really bloated. could these shakes be the reason. I had them with almond milk as I don't agree with milk too much.

Whey is a milk product that may have lactose in it depending on what type it is. If it doesn't say whey protein isolate then you are likely having a lactose issue.

Whey protein can be hard for some people to digest. It also might have something to do with the amount of protein you took for the day. My body became used to the whey and the increase in the amount of protein from my shakes in about 3 weeks but if you're really uncomfortable with it try a plant based protein like pea protein or I hear egg protein is easy on your tummy as well.

Is it whey concentrate or whey isolate?? I started off using a whey concentrate protein shake and I had the same issues... bloated and felt like I could explode. Did some research and read where a lot of people have that reaction with concentrate but not isolate, so I started getting whey isolate and lo and behold, no more issues! Isolates usually cost a bit more than concentrates, but to me it's worth it!

Try Googling whey concentrate vs. whey isolate for more info on the differences.

    Good luck! :)

It says it is a blend of concentrate and isolate. wroth the first ingredient being milk. .. I guess I should have looked into this before buying it.

    Thanks for the replies!!!
