is there such thing as too many peas in your fried rice? Nah, not in my book. . .
Twenty eight months ago, I MIGHT'VE walked 3 miles a day, sitting on my butt during lunches and breaks and reading and stuffing my face, maybe breaking 20 miles a week, last week I walked 42 miles, and where 28 months ago, my knees would be hurting like hell, tho my body aches, ti's a good ache, not a I'm dying ache.
Twenty eight months ago, I'd 'fix' my depression by eating, usually bad for me things. . now it's go for a walk, go weed the garden, go get a puppy fix from the monsters.
Twenty eight months ago, someone would've offered me a ride and I would've said SURE!! Now I say, go ahead, I need to get these steps in, I need to burn these calories.
Twenty eight months into my voyage, I'm not where I wanted to be, but OTOH, i'm better off than I was twenty eight months ago, eating better, it's a work in progress. .
No, the path hasn't been pure and straight. I hurt my good knee, setting me back, got depressed, ate worse, gained some weight back, then got foot problems cuz of both bad knees, but I got back on the wagon, and never did gain back all the original weight
Twenty eight months ago, i'd be eating leftover beef & broccoli(oooh, that brown sauce), with sodium content out of this world. Today it's chicken fried rice, with a big heaping of peas added, no not perfect, but i'll never be one of those who eats only the healthiest foods, I'll always indulge in things, as I know to do otherwise means I will never succeed. But I will succeed, one pea at a time, one step at a time, one day at a time, cuz I want this. . .and tho I will have my set backs, I will get back on that horse and keep going, cuz of the love and support of family and friends.
