Hey everyone.
I am going out for a celebration tonight for an Indian - does anybody have any tips about how I might be able to recover tomorrow. I know I should drink lots of water for a Chinese, so does the same apply for an Indian??
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you :)

Well Skip the NAN and go for whole Wheat Roti.

Go for kababs instead of Gravy Dishes...and you should be Fine.

Do a KILLER workout before you go, so that you don't go over on your cals.

I usually order something like a chicken kebab and then have chana masala and a side salad with it. Cachumber salad is good. I use the yogurt sauce instead of dressing for a little extra sodium control. It's the salt that kills me when it comes to Indian, so, yeah, I would say lots of water.

Yes, drink lots of water. Indian food tends to be really starchy/carb heavy, so you'll see a temporary jump on the scale the morning after, but in a few days you'll be back to normal. If you know to expect it then it's not really anything to worry about if you're only eating it once in a while, so enjoy :)

OH HOW I LOVE INDIAN FOOD!!! When I have it, I do as others have said, I get in extra exercise in advance. I definitely skip the naan, some of it is not so bad, but some can have more than 600 calories per slice!!! I don't even know how they could get that many calories into that delicious bread, but it's true. I say enjoy each and every bite you take, but at the same time, try and really listen to your body and stop eating when you are satisfied, don't keep eating just because it is SO delicious. Good luck!
