i'm 5 feet 5 inches...and weigh 144 pounds... I am not too fat or heavy, but have a family history of obesity, so i just want to be on the healthier side:happy:
i recently started running and absolutely love how energetic it makes me feel. But i eat a heavy dinner right after my run:ohwell:
So, i'm not losing any weight at all ... I have now decided to finish my dinners by 6pm ...lets seehow that works!

It doesn't matter when you eat, it matters how much you eat. As long as you are within your calorie limits (and not restricting too much) you should be fine.

You also might be overestimating how much burn you have, or underestimating how many calories you consume.

I have always been told to eat 3/4 of my calories for the day before 6pm. After that it should be a light meal. I have done real good at sticking to that, and have lost a pound a week for 20 weeks now.
I really hope you have a wonderful journey in losing the weight.

The exercise is great, but it is the total of calories you are consuming you need to keep track of.

I like to eat light (example: an egg, one piece of toast, 1 piece of bacon) for breakfast and for
lunch (example: one ounce 2% cheddar cheese, 5 ritz hint of salt crackers, fruit cup, in it own juice) and
then have the bulk of my calories left for dinner, and that works for me, I eat early, finished by
4-5 pm and I never snack during any part of the day.

I don't deprive myself of anything as long as it fits in my calories for the day, but I am trying to make
healthier choices too. The pounds have just melted off, 19 pounds in 6 1/2 weeks. For exercise, I
walk a lot at work, 4-5 miles per shift, 5 days a week.
